BGE Frank Heintz Scholarship This scholarship provides financial support to BGE customers and their dependents to pursue an education from an accredited institution. Students can renew this scholarship for up to four years/$20,000 ($5,000 per year for four years) if they are pursuing an undergraduate degree. Minimum GPA 3.0 required to qualify for a renewable undergraduate scholarship. $5000 (Renewable/4 Years)
BGE Frank Heintz Scholarship - Vocational This scholarship provides financial support to BGE customers and their dependents to pursue an education from an accredited college or career-school. Students can be awarded for the full cost of their certification tuition if they are attending career school. Varies based on program cost
BHD Endowed Scholarship for Teachers This scholarship is awarded to graduate or professional school students in education & related fields, who are willing to commit to teach in the Maryland public schools for one year for each year the scholarship is received. Awards for this scholarship are worth up to $10,000.  $7,500
Blanche and Merril Uhlfelder Fund Scholarship This is an annually awarded scholarship awarded to students pursuing undergraduate/graduate study at accredited US institutions. Award value varies yearly, minimum GPA of 2.8 or higher recommended to be competitive. $1,000
Buddy Roogow Scholarship This scholarship fund, established in 2016 in memory of Buddy Roogow, supports residents of Baltimore City, Baltimore County, or Howard County who demonstrate a strong commitment to community service. GPA of 2.8 or higher recommended to be competitive. $2,000
Carefirst/Hal Cohen Memorial Scholarship This scholarship awards up to $7000 to Maryland residents pursuing graduate or professional study in the fields of health policy or economics. A minimum GPA of 2.8 is recommended to be competitive $3,500
Central Scholarship Grant A grant that is awarded to cover extended gaps in tuition for students in amounts less than $2000. This scholarship is only awarded to recipients of other awards who have additional financial need. $1,000
Charles Crane Family Foundation Scholarship This annual award provides scholarships to students pursuing degrees from accredited institutions in fields of Talmudic Law, Rabbinical Study, Hebrew Studies, Judaic Cultural Studies, and to pursue study at Yeshiva or Seminary in Israel. Preference is given to students who identify as Jewish. $3,500
Charlie Robinson Endowed Master of Library Science (MLS) Memorial Scholarship This renewable scholarship supports one Maryland resident pursuing a Master of Library Science (MLS) or Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) for up to two years/$5000 ($2,500 per year for two years).  Students must plan to work in a public library upon degree completion. $2500 (Renewable/2 Years)
Chernak Family Scholarship Fund This scholarship is designed to support Maryland students pursuing undergraduate degrees in education at accredited U.S. institutions. GPA of 2.8 or higher to be competitive. $2,500

Daneman Family Endowed Career Training Grant Fund This fund provides the funds for tuition, materials, and fees for a highly motivated student pursuing a non-degree certificate program from an accredited career-school in Maryland. Varies based on program cost
Diane and Jerome Markman Scholarship This scholarship supports Maryland undergraduates and graduate/professional students attending accredited U.S. institutions. GPA of 2.8 or higher to be competitive. $1,275
Digital Harbor High School Scholarship This scholarship fund supports graduates of Digital Harbor High School who are pursuing associate's or bachelor's degrees at accredited U.S. institutions, or non-degree certificates at Maryland community colleges. Students pursuing 4-year degrees should have a GPA of 3.0 or higher to be competitive. Students pursuing 2-year degrees or non-degree certificates should have a GPA of 2.4 or higher. $8,000
DTLR Employee Scholarship This scholarship awards up to $2000 to employees of DTLR who are pursuing an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution. Applicants do not have to be residents of Maryland, but must be employed by DTLR for no less than 3 months by the close of the application. $2,000
Eddie C. and C. Sylvia Brown Endowed Scholarship Fund for HBCU's  This scholarship was created to assist undergraduate students in pursuing their education at an accredited Historically Black College or University (HBCU). Students must be MD residents with a GPA of 2.8 or higher and have demonstrated financial need.  $2,500
Executive Alliance Emerging Women Leaders Scholarship This scholarship supports outstanding Maryland women pursuing graduate or professional degrees at accredited U.S. institutions. GPA of 3.0 or higher to be competitive. $3,000
Francis Scott Key Bridge Trade and Apprenticeship Scholarships This program provides significant financial support to students pursuing careers in infrastructure related trades through certification or apprenticeship programs. Isaac and Catharine Hecht Scholarship This scholarship supports Maryland undergraduates and graduate/professional students attending accredited U.S. institutions. GPA of 2.8 or higher to be competitive. $3,900
Jacob and Daisy Lee Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to Maryland residents pursuing undergraduate or graduate/professional degrees at accredited U.S. institutions. GPA of 2.8 or higher to be competitive. Preference is given to African-American students. $5,000
Jewish Community Services Scholarships Central Scholarship manages 15 named scholarship funds for the Jewish Community Services organization. Applicants may qualify through volunteer service with the JCS organization or participation in its programs. Minimum 2.5 GPA required to qualify. $1000 Each
Kahlert Foundation Career Training Scholarship This scholarship provides funding for the tuition and fees associated with certification in high-need career fields in the state of Maryland. MD residency and GED/HS Diploma required to qualify. Varies based on program cost
Kassap Family Scholarship for Teachers This scholarship is awarded to graduate or professional school students in education, who are willing to commit to teach in Maryland public schools for one year for each year the scholarship is received. $5,000
Kevin Kamenetz Scholarship Established in 2018 by the Kamenetz family, this scholarship is awarded to residents of Baltimore County who demonstrate academic excellence as well as dedication to their local community through volunteer service. This award is worth up to $40,000 over four years ($10,000 per year) to assist in the pursuit of an undergraduate degree. $10,000 (Renewable/4  years)
Marcia Karen Liss Boonshaft Scholarship This scholarship supports Maryland residents who are pursuing an undergraduate degree in education and who exhibit a commitment to Jewish life and study. Preference given to students who identify as Jewish and are in their final year of undergraduate study. GPA of 2.8 or higher to be competitive. $1,000
Mary M. and Benjamin M. Rubin Scholarship for Women This scholarship is awarded to Maryland women, who have been out of high school for at least one year, and who are pursuing undergraduate or graduate/professional study at accredited U.S. institutions. GPA of 3.0 or higher to be competitive.  $4,500
McMillan Stewart Foundation Endowed Scholarship This scholarship fund supports the tuition expenses of students who are alumni of the Baltimore Design School and are pursuing an undergraduate degree from an accredited college/university in the US. $6,000
Milton J. Dickman and Leonore Dickman Cohn Scholarship Fund This fund awards two $2500 scholarships for undergraduate students pursuing a degree in education. GPA of 3.0 or higher recommended to be competitive. $2,500
Morris Sugarman and Sylvia Sugarman Miller Scholarship This scholarship supports Maryland undergraduates and graduate/professional students attending accredited U.S. institutions. GPA of 2.8 or higher to be competitive. $2,500
Naomi and Philmore Baron Endowed Scholarship The purpose of this scholarship is to support the educational needs of students graduating from Baltimore City Schools, pursuing postsecondary education at an accredited college or university. $2,500
One Step-Up Scholarship This scholarship provides scholarship support to women who are graduates of Baltimore City Public High Schools and demonstrate financial need in their pursuit of undergraduate degrees at accredited U.S. institutions. GPA of 3.0 or higher required. $6000 (Renewable/4 Years)
Phyllis Honey Jolson Memorial Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to graduating seniors from Baltimore City College high school who have participated in the visual or performing arts and are planning to pursue undergraduate degrees at accredited U.S. institutions in art-related majors. $2,500
Richard Louis Caplan Memorial Scholarship for Mental Health Practitioners This scholarship is awarded to Maryland residents pursuing graduate or professional study in fields that prepare them to provide treatment to patients suffering from personality disorders and other mental health problems. GPA of 2.8 or higher to be competitive. $2,750
Richard Louis Caplan Memorial Scholarship for Music Performance This scholarship supports Maryland residents who are junior or senior undergraduates pursuing degrees in music performance. GPA of 2.8 or higher to be competitive. $2,750

Sheiala Ratner Moskow Scholarship This scholarship is awarded to Maryland residents with a strong record of volunteer service, pursuing post-secondary study at accredited U.S. colleges or career schools, with a preference for women who are Jewish. $500

Stanley and Evelyn Wagner Endowed Scholarship for Baltimore City College Students This scholarship supports graduates from Baltimore City College. These scholarships are renewable for four years, up to $8,500 per year. $4,250

Awards of up to $5,000 per year are available upon reapplication for four years of undergraduate study provided the student maintains a GPA of 3.0 and meets all other criteria. $5000 (Renewable/4 Years)
Stulman Foundation Scholars Grant This scholarship supports Spanish-speaking Maryland residents who are pursuing graduate or professional degrees in social work or other mental health fields at accredited Maryland or Washington, D.C. institutions. Recipients must agree to provide direct services to Spanish-speaking clients for one year for each year the scholarship is received. $5,000
Theresa and Vernon Windesheim Scholarship for GEM This scholarship supports current and former members of the Girls' Empowerment Mission (GEM) at Chesapeake High School who are pursuing undergraduate degrees at accredited U.S. institutions. $2,250
Victor A. and Tina Broccolino Scholarship This scholarship supports Maryland undergraduates and graduate/professional students attending accredited U.S. institutions. GPA of 2.8 or higher to be competitive. $1,000
William and Richard Shock Scholarship This scholarship supports Maryland undergraduates and graduate/professional students attending accredited U.S. institutions. GPA of 2.8 or higher to be competitive. $4,250
Xan Korman Racial Justice & Equity Award This annual scholarship provides up to $5000 to a student who is pursuing a degree in critical fields related to criminal justice, socio-economic inequality, and related fields aimed at reducing racial discrimination and improving equity in our communities. Students who have an interest in photography/videography will also be considered. $5,000

Renewable Scholarships

These awards provide a pre-determined amount of financial support over the course of 2 or more academic years.

BGE Frank Heinz Scholarship

This scholarship provides financial support to BGE customers and their dependents to pursue an education from an accredited institution. Straus Foundation Scholars Grant

These renewable scholarships are awarded to graduating high school seniors planning to pursue undergraduate degrees at accredited U.S. institutions. Awards of up to $5,000 per year are available upon reapplication for four years of undergraduate study provided the student maintains a GPA of 3.0 and meets all other criteria.

The Kevin Kamenetz Scholarship

Established in 2018 by the Kamenetz family, this scholarship is awarded to residents of Baltimore County who demonstrate academic excellence as well as dedication to their local community through volunteer service. This award is worth up to $40,000 over four years ($10,000 per year) to assist in the pursuit of an undergraduate degree.

These scholarships are intended to support students pursuing specific fields of study as they complete their educational journey.

*Career Training students have different requirements. To be eligible for a career training grant, students must be a Maryland resident, have a high school diploma or a GED, and be planning to attend a non-degree certificate program at a community college or private career school.
