Weekly Spotlights

Our Scholarship Spotlight highlights the story behind the award—whether it honors a legacy, supports a specific field of study, or uplifts a particular community. By featuring a different scholarship each week, we aim to show the depth and diversity of opportunities available to our students.

Our Scholar Spotlight celebrates the individuals who make Central Scholarship proud—resilient, passionate, and purpose-driven students who are making the most of their education. These scholars represent a wide range of backgrounds and dreams, and their journeys inspire us all.

Follow along weekly as we share the stories that define our mission: opening doors to higher education and empowering the next generation of changemakers.

Our featured scholar this week is Malcolm Stuckey, recipient the Isaac and Catharine Hecht Scholarship!

Malcolm is a freshman at Temple University studying Music Technology. During high school, Malcom was involved in many activities, including performing in concerts and recitals, creating artwork for display around the school, and serving as a student ambassador. The art of performers such as Whitney Houston, Beyoncé, and Michael Jackson inspires Malcom and drives him to create his own compositions. He aspires to use the knowledge from his college education to help others who share his passion for music.

The  Isaac and Catharine Hecht Scholarship is one of many scholarships offered by Central Scholarship to help close the tuition gap of students and ensure that they are able to pursue their educational goals. To learn more about this scholarship, please visit our Scholarship Directory.
