Weekly Spotlights

Our Scholarship Spotlight highlights the story behind the award—whether it honors a legacy, supports a specific field of study, or uplifts a particular community. By featuring a different scholarship each week, we aim to show the depth and diversity of opportunities available to our students.

Our Scholar Spotlight celebrates the individuals who make Central Scholarship proud—resilient, passionate, and purpose-driven students who are making the most of their education. These scholars represent a wide range of backgrounds and dreams, and their journeys inspire us all.

Follow along weekly as we share the stories that define our mission: opening doors to higher education and empowering the next generation of changemakers.

Our featured scholar this week is Alisa Davis recipient the Stanley and Evelyn Wagner Scholarship!

Alisa graduated from Baltimore City College with a 3.7 GPA and Honor Roll Recognition. She was also a member of the College Board National African American Recognition Program, National Honor Society Program, and World Language Honor Society. Alisa is currently a sophomore at the University of Maryland College Park pursuing a degree in Biochemistry and Biophysics. She aspires to bridge this cultural divide by becoming a pharmaceutical and biomedical research leader, ensuring that drug development is inclusive, ethical, and representative of all populations.

The Stanley and Evelyn Wagner Scholarship is one of many scholarships offered by Central Scholarship to help close the tuition gap of students and ensure that they are able to pursue their educational goals. To learn more about this scholarship, please visit our Scholarship Directory.
