Taylor Jachman earned her Bachelor of Arts in Government & Politics from the University of Maryland, College Park, in the spring of 2015 with funding from The Peggy Ellen Pumpian Memorial Fund. A motivated student from a young age, Taylor was class president at Owings Mills High School and captain of the Varsity Tennis Team. A community-minded student, Taylor volunteered with foster children in group homes such as St. Vincent’s Center for Troubled Youth during the holidays. While Taylor was on campus in College Park, she also volunteered with the Girl Scouts of Prince George’s County. Taylor is currently working as a Legislative Fellow at a Washington D.C. consulting firm.

In the summer, Taylor wrote to us, “I accepted a Fellowship position at a government relations consulting firm in Washington, DC, and I am so excited to begin my career! We were helped so much by Central Scholarship and it only pushed me to work that much harder to achieve the success that I did at the University of Maryland. I will strive to continue to make everyone at Central Scholarship proud!”
