“I would like to express my deepest thanks for believing, having faith, and taking part in my dream to continue my education,” writes Chantal Lievers upon receiving news that she received a scholarship. “Thank you for the opportunity to expand my education and open up new avenues in my life. I will put forth my best efforts and do everything possible to make you proud. When no one else gave me this opportunity, you made it possible!”
Chantal is this month’s featured scholar. We awarded Chantal with funds from the Abell Foundation Grant to complete training in Phlebotomy at Sojourner Douglass College. Chantal is a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) and had been for seven years after high school. She decided to further herself by becoming certified as a phlebotomist through Baltimore City Community College. She is passionate about helping her patients and enjoys working with senior citizens. Due to finances, she was unable to further her education. Once she found Central Scholarship, she knew she was on her way. She writes, “I hold my education and work ethic in high regard. I promise that I will not let anything hinder my chance at success.”
Central Scholarship is holding an information session this week (Thursday, August 2nd and Saturday, August 4th) for all those interested in HVAC, Commercial Driving, Construction, and Healthcare training.
